Prelude to Performance


Prelude to Performance® is a six-week intensive training program for approximately 35 young
singers, with past participants coming from the
United States, Europe, Asia, South America and
Africa. Their hard work culminates in four fully
staged opera performances with sets, costumes
and orchestra in a prominent New York venue.

Role Preparation


Role Preparation Class takes place in the spring
and is a class of 12–14 singers who participate in
forty hours of group and individual coaching sessions. In the course of twelve weeks, each singer learns
a complete operatic role chosen by the participant in cooperation with their voice teacher. The class culminates in a public recital of operatic ensembles.
