Frequently Asked Questions

Are there housing options available for Participants?

This year the Martina Arroyo Foundation is very happy to make a housing recommendation to all of its 2010 artists. This year, room and board can be arranged for participants on a first-come first-served basis for $40 per day and can accommodate up to 9 participants in dorm style accommodations (2 triples and 3 doubles), 4 participants in single rooms or any other convenient configuration.

Music and Mentoring House at 13 West 122nd Street is operated by acclaimed soprano Lauren Flanigan and is located in the heart of historic Mount Morris Park in New York City. Music and Mentoring House is a 4-story 125-year-old townhouse and also Miss Flanigan's residence. The townhouse has 2 complete and separate bathrooms, a common room and kitchen, washer/dryer and comes complete with bed linens and towels. Breakfast and dinner will be provided daily during the program in Miss Flanigan's residence. TV, DVD, and high speed internet/WIFI are also provided. Music and Mentoring House is convenient to downtown buses running down 5th Avenue to the Liederkranz Foundation and is convenient to very good local restaurants, shopping and the #2 and #3 trains.

Photos of the furnishings and some of the rooms can be viewed at: http://www.harlemguesthouse.com/cms/duplex

If you are interested, please call the Foundation at (212) 315-9190.
